We’re Mariana and Carlos, and like many adopted Sanmigueleans, we come with a colorful history. Mariana, born in Mazatlán, is an oenologist with a deep passion for authentic wine and art. Carlos—who's writing this—studied and worked in journalism across South America.

Mesa Verde was originally conceived and operated as a hotel, but it evolved into what it is today after we recognized a very specific need: safe, joyful, and vibrant communities for older adults—people like our own grandparents.

That idea—dignified living—is at the heart of everything we do.
